Online Devotionals
Devotionals are designed to inspire your faith and encourage your heart for the day ahead. Devotionals aim to make the Bible relevant to your daily life. There are literally thousands of online devotionals available on all types of topics. Some are created by well-known pastors such as the Moody Bible Institute, Tony Evans, Chuck Swindoll, Joyce Meyer, and many others. Many have a subscribe button so you can receive a devotional directly with your email.
Crosswalk
Crosswalk is an online Christian living magazine created by a group of Christian writers and editors under the Salem Web Network. The devotional section is diverse, covering many topics such as family, men, women, Christian holidays, lifestyles, and Christian growth. There is a devotional of the day from a well-known pastor, ministry or speaker. All scripture can be read online with just a click of the mouse. If you like the pastor's message, you can subscribe to that pastor's devotionals. The downside to Crosswalk is that the pages are very busy with commercials; many of them do not have anything to do with Christianity. Each page has a very crowded look.
Proverbs 31
Proverbs 31 Ministries is a Christian ministry that seeks to lead women into a personal relationship with Christ, with Proverbs 31:10-31 as a guide. A quote from the website: "Wherever a woman may be on her spiritual journey, Proverbs 31 Ministries exists to be a trusted friend who understands the challenges she faces, walks by her side, encouraging her as she walks toward the heart of God." Viewers can have a daily devotion sent to their mailbox, read many choices of devotions online, and listen to devotions on a podcast. Everything can be accessed on the website. The ministry even has its own app, called "The First 5".
Insight for Living
"Insight for Today" is a daily devotional written by Chuck Swindoll that brings God's Word to life. A quote from the website: "Insight for Living Ministries desires that all people know the truth found in God’s Word. A Christian ministry with an international emphasis must realize what an increasingly powerful ministry tool the Internet has become and will continue to be in the future." This website is clean and simple with colors in blue and gray. Devotions for the past three months are listed by date. Viewers can add their email to receive the daily devotional directly to their mailbox. Purchases can be made of Chuck Swindoll's books. The links to the books are on a side box out of the way of the devotionals. Scriptures are listed to be used for further study.
